State Summer Games

More than 1,500 Special Olympics athletes
from around the state will descend on Emory University to compete
in Aquatics, Athletics, Soccer, Badminton, Volleyball, Tennis,
Gymnastics, Table Tennis and Badminton.

Opening
Ceremony
Join us at 8 p.m. Friday, June 2 for the
Opening Ceremony at McDonough Field at Emory University, as we
kick off the celebration in style. There will be a fire eaters,
Polynesian dancers and a parade.
Free Family
Fun
All the games events are free to
the public, so bring the whole family and "Come Be Inspired."
Competitions will be Saturday and Sunday. Medals will be awarded
throughout the weekend. On Saturday, Olympic Town at
McDonough Field will offer crafts, a moon walk, a slide and more
family fun. Competition will continue all day Saturday and Sunday
morning.

the Summer Games
Thank you for your interest in becoming a
volunteer. We'd love for you to volunteer by being a fan in the
stands. Bring supportive posters and signs and follow the "Fans in
the Stands" signs to Volunteer Registration, Dobbs University
Center (DUC), to register anytime over the weekend. Thank you
Summer Games volunteers. We simply could not do it without you!

onto North Druid Hills Rd.

three lights (~ 1/2 mile) to Briarcliff

about 1 1/4 miles to Asbury Circle (first light after the short
bridge)

1/4 mile and the Peavine Parking Decks will be on the right, after
the curve (free parking available)
