The plans are underway for Boccefest 2007! Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 25. Boccefest is S.O.Y.L.'s premier fundraiser which is held every year at a local park. This year, the event will be held at Brook Run Park in Dunwoody from 3-7 p.m. At this event, participants can either find a teammate and compete in the Bocce tournament, or for those less inclined to compete, supporters can participate as an onlooker and just enjoy the good time. This great tournament features music, great food, raffle prizes and prizes for tournament winners. It's $20 per person (2-person teams) to play and $15 to come to the tournament as an onlooker. Bocce tournament competitors are encouraged to pre-register for the event through www.active.com. Search for Boccefest and you'll see a link to the event. There's no experience needed to play, so grab a team and join the fun!

Special Olympics Georgia invites teams of community members, S.O.Y.L. members and friends to come out and play games of bocce and listen to great music. There’s no prior experience needed to play, so grab a team and join in!

All the proceeds go to Special Olympics Georgia and its 22,797 athletes. It’s the perfect event to invite friends to, hang out and have a great afternoon.

Cost:

$15 Onlooker: Entry into the event, free food one raffle ticket and music

*Children 12 years and under will be admitted free as an onlooker.

$20 Participant: Entry into the event, free food, music, two raffle tickets and entry into the tournament*

(2-person teams)


*Each teammate must have their own "Participant" ticket to enter into the tournament
