State Indoor Winter Games,
Marietta, Ga: Nearly 1,500 athletes from around the state compete in
basketball, floor hockey, artistic gymnastics, bowling, ice
skating, powerlifting and roller skating.
May
Race for Champions, Atlanta, Ga: Area
runners and Special Olympics Georgia supporters participate in a
5K walk/run.
Law Enforcement Torch Run.
Police officers carry the "Torch of Hope" 1,000
miles through Georgia and ends at the opening ceremony of Summer
Games.
State Summer Games,
Atlanta, Ga:
About 1,500 athletes meet at Emory
University to compete in aquatics, athletics, volleyball,
tennis, soccer, gymnastics, badminton and table tennis.

Master’s Bowling,
Savannah, Ga: More than
800 adult Special Olympics
bowlers compete in Traditional and Unified bowling in Savannah.
August
BocceFest,
Atlanta, Ga.
October
State Fall Games,
Statesboro, Ga.: Over 1,500 Athletes head to
Statesboro to compete in softball, bocce, cycling, long
distance run/walk and golf.
November
State Horse Show,
Perry, Ga.: SOGA's most unique competition, held in
Perry, features over 150 riders in dressage, showmanship,
walking trail, and English and Western style riding.
State Sailing Regatta, Macon, Ga.:
More than 150 sailors will be showing off their sailing skills in
this competition.
Southeast Powerlifting, Macon, Ga:
More than 50 lifters come from 6 states to participate in this
unique and exciting event.
