Tracing its origins to 1893, Jones Day now encompasses more than 2,400 lawyers resident in 32 locations worldwide and ranks among the world's largest and most geographically diverse law firms. Jones Day is one of the most recognized and respected law firms in the world. The firm counts client focus, legal skill, depth of people, team orientation and experience among their key strengths.

In 2008, Jones Day was named the nation's best Labor & Employment practice by The American Lawyer as part of the magazine's prestigious "Litigation Department of the Year" competition.    VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH

Volunteer of the Month -J.J. Williams

Each June, SOGA partners with Bike Ride Across Georgia (BRAG)  to put on the weeklong event by organizing and running each of the rest stops on the ride. And an essential part that is the support we receive from a sponsors, SuperValu, who not only provided  food  but also donated a refrigerated semitruck and a driver for the week.

So, SuperValu truck driver J.J. Williams came back for his third year, getting up each morning around 4 a.m. and working at least 12 hours each day. Williams and his semitruck followed  SOGA staff to every rest stop  to drop off  supplies, and then, when his part was finished, he would help  run the rest stop, which sometimes was a challenge considering there were around 1,500 cyclists stopping by for a break. He mixed Powerade, refilled water coolers, cut fruit, made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.  He did this without complaint.

J.J. says that he enjoys his time so much that each year he volunteers and hopes to be placed on  BRAG next year. SOGA is proud to honor J.J. as the volunteer of the month.
