Thanks to Summer Games Sponsors and Volunteers
Over 1,000 volunteers came
out to Emory University May 21st - 23rd to Inspire
Greatness at the 2004 State Summer Games. We couldn't
have done it without you! Thanks to everyone who
dedicated their time, skills, and resources to SOGA's
athletes.
The Games were an incredible success and we're grateful
for your support!

Atlanta Falcons Host
Punt, Pass and Kick Camp
About 100 SOGA athletes and coaches will be heading out to
the Atlanta Falcons Training Camp in Flowery Branch from
June 21-24 for an exciting opportunity to learn skills and
see where the Falcons train!

offering such a fabulous experience for Special Olympics
Georgia's Athletes!
Atlanta Braves - Two SOGA Fundraisers Coming in July!
There's no better reason
to head to Turner Field!
On July 3rd, the
Atlanta
Braves will
literally take the Jerseys off Their Backs following the
game - buy a raffle ticket from a SOGA representative that
night to win a game-worn Braves jersey and support Special
Olympics Georgia!
On July 17th,
get a raffle ticket to win half of the money raised that
night - and the other half goes to Special Olympics
Georgia and the Atlanta Braves Foundation!
Masters Bowling
Tournament Headed to Columbus
July 17 -18, Over 650 adult
Special Olympics bowlers will compete in traditional and
unified bowling during the weekend. To volunteer, contact

Sports Camp Promises to Educate and Inspire
A 3 day residential camp at
Warm Springs for coaches who would like to become a
certified Special Olympics Coach!

Special Olympics Georgia Sailing Regatta: Sept. 10-12
The Annual Regatta will be
held on Lake Lanier once again. It offers exciting
prizes, great fun on the lake and an exciting weekend of
sailing. If you're interested in getting involved,

**State Masters Bowling Tournament**
In Columbus, Georgia, July 17-18. Duties
include: helping with scoring, assisting ramp bowlers,
escorting athletes to the awards area, etc. If you are
interested,

Volunteers are needed to sell raffle tickets to benefit
Special Olympics Georgia during the Braves Game
on Saturday, July 17th. Volunteers will sell
tickets until the end of the 2nd inning, and they can

**Atlanta Braves 'Jerseys Off Our Backs' Fundraiser**
Volunteers are needed to
sell raffle tickets to benefit Special Olympics Georgia

Backs" Fundraiser at the Saturday, July 3rd game.
Volunteers will sell tickets until the end of the 5th
inning, and they can
stay for the rest of the
game at no cost! No volunteers

**Management Team Members Wanted!**
The Special Olympics
Georgia Management Teams implement and oversee the
entirety of the program on an Area level. The team
ensures the availability of quality sports training and
competition to all eligible participants. The Management
Teams consist of committed volunteers who serve as
chairpeople in the areas of chairperson, fundraising,
volunteers, training, competitions, finance, public
relations, families, athlete representatives, secretary,
outreach, and members at large.
