Marlow's Tavern - Grand Opening in Vinings!

Executive Chef and Owner, John C. Metz, Jr., and partner, Thomas DiGiorgio, opened their second Marlow's Tavern on Saturday, April 23.  The new Marlow's Tavern, located in Vinings, raised over $5,000 for Special Olympics Georgia during yet another successful grand opening!  With an extensive record of restaurant success, from the first Marlow's Tavern in Alpharetta, to Hi Life Kitchen and Cocktails in Norcross and Aqua Blue in Roswell, we at Special Olympics Georgia are truly honored to be a part of this dynamic family.  Please help to show your appreciation by dining at a restaurant in your area.

Volunteer of the Month - Tracey Tallent

Tracey Tallent is the local coordinator for Carrollton County. Tracey goes above and beyond in her role on a regular basis. Under her leadership the local Change for Champions fundraiser has grown from $1,100 to over $6,000. She created an award that travels between schools to encourage participation. Tracey is highly organized in her approach, and under her direction the Carrollton Parks and Recreation host the local and area Games. Tracey's approach ensures that the athletes experience true competition, involving her athletes in numerous sports. Athletes from Carrollton Parks and Recreation participate in all 5 State Games. Tracey is extremely supportive of all her athletes and coaches, making sure they receive certification in all the sports they train athletes in. One of her coaches even won an award at the 2004 Distinguished Service Awards Banquet.
Congratulations Tracey, and thank you for your dedication and hard work!
