11 Alive Community Service Award

Each year for more than 30 years, the 11Alive’s Community Service Awards (CSA) has honored 11 outstanding local volunteers who have demonstrated selfless devotion for the betterment of the community.

Atlanta Falcons Defensive End Patrick Kerney and Mrs. Stephanie Blank will co-host the event, which will air during prime-time on WXIA-TV, 11 Alive.
Each year the Community Service Awards dinner proceeds benefit a selected charity. This year, the proceeds will benefit Special Olympics Georgia. You can help us recognize the outstanding service of the 11Alive Community Service Awards recipients and support the important work of Special Olympics Georgia by participating as a table sponsor.
There are two levels of support. Sponsor a Host Table for $2,500 or a Silver Host Table for $5,000. While both table sponsorships entitle you to a table for ten guests, the Silver Host Table includes prominent placement in the ballroom.

Volunteer of the Month - Billy Grogan

Deputy Chief Billy Grogan joined the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) family in 2004 and got the ball rolling for the Marietta Police Department. The first event was Cops on Donut Shops where his location raised nearly $20,000 in one weekend. Billy then created the 1st Annual Pistol Shooting tournament raising $2,000. Overall the 2005 Marietta Police Department raised over $25,000 in 2005 - their first year participating in LETRBilly has  recruited new departments, filled committee slots with dedicated members and continues to work so that the Marietta Police Department remains one of the top five fundraising departments in the state. Billy was also the chairman for the first ever 2006 World's Largest Truck Convoy in Georgia

Because of his leadership and dedication, we honor Deputy Chief Billy Grogan. Although he never asks or expects recognition, he definitely deserves it!

Congratulations Billy!
