“Be a Fan” of Special Olympics Georgia with Your Support!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND FOR BELIEVING

For four decades, Special Olympics Georgia (SOGA) has improved the lives of thousands of children and adults with intellectual disabilities and helped them realize new dreams through year-round sports training and athletic competition.  Through our efforts, we strive to reach even more of the estimated 290,000 people with intellectual disabilities in Georgia.  That leaves more than 267,000 reasons to donate to Special Olympics Georgia.

As a 501(c)(3) private, non-profit organization, SOGA relies on donations from individuals, corporations, foundations, and civic groups.  Contributions to Special Olympics Georgia are tax deductible as allowed by law.

Special Olympics Georgia does not receive state funding and is not a United Way agency. Athletes and their families are never charged a fee to participate in any of our programs.  SOGA offers the athletes a chance to demonstrate and focus on their abilities, not their disabilities. The athletes remind us every day that the triumph is in the “trying” and not necessarily in the “winning.”

Special Olympics is changing lives and changing people’s perceptions about intellectual disabilities.  You too can share in the joy of Special Olympics Georgia by becoming a supporter!
