State-wide Fundraiser to Benefit Special Olympics
What: Change is collected during Exceptional
Children’s Week – March 3-8, 2008. Look for the red Special
Olympics Georgia Cans around town. Schools collect change and have
classes compete to see who can collect the most. Local restaurants
and businesses can put up canisters to collect change too. In
addition to benefiting Special Olympics financially, this event
can be used for instruction (counting money, measuring,
statistics, etc.)
Who: Local/County accredited Special Olympics programs are
conducting this event in March.
