Challenge: over 1,000 rubber ducks need to be tagged with a racing number – do you accept this challenge?


August  8                             DUCK DERBY, MARIETTA

Some race horses, but at SOGA we like to race rubber ducks! Volunteers are needed at Six Flags Whitewater to help with the race and help scoop those ducks out of the water. All volunteers must be 18 or older to volunteer.


August 22-24                        STATE MASTER’S BOWLING TOURNAMENT, WARNER ROBINS

Love bowling? We have a whole weekend of bowling for you and we need your help! Volunteers are needed to help assist athletes on bowling lanes and hand out awards afterwards.



Join us for the first annual Charity Clay Shoot event to benefit Special Olympics Georgia. Held at Foxhall Resort and Sporting Club in Douglasville, GA. Volunteers are needed to help with the days activities.


September  16                   STRIKE THE R-WORD, ATLANTA

Special Olympics has a world wide campaign to eliminate the word “retard(ed)” and educate people on the effects of hurtful words like it. Come volunteer at this fundraiser. Volunteers are needed to help with the day’s activities.


October 10-12                    STATE FALL GAMES, GAINESVILLE

The State Fall Games will have it’s first of 3 years in Gainesville this October. Over 1,500 SOGA athletes compete in bocce, cycling, long distance running/walking, golf and softball.


October 10-12                    STATE HORSE SHOW, GAINESVILLE

The same weekend as Fall Games, we also have our State Horse Show. Over 200 athletes compete in different equestrian competitions. Come volunteer at the Horse Show even if you have little to no experience with Horses. We’ll show you all you need to know.
November  3                       BOB BUSSE GOLF CLASSIC, SANDY SPRINGS

SOGA will once again proudly host the annual Bob Busse Golf Tournament, held at Cherokee Town and Country Club. Volunteers must be 21 or older to volunteer.
