“Winter is more than a general contractor, they strive to be a strategic partner and trusted ally, delivering good experiences and outstanding results and building the foundation for success. Their Philosophy is exceptional buildings are about more than just great job site performance. It is about the trust established and the positive experiences built with owners, architects, subcontractors, suppliers, and other employees. This foundation allows an approach that even the most complex projects with confidence, competence, and ingenuity.”
At Winter, they dedicate time to giving back to the community in which they live and work.
Their first job is to be good people. They’re invested in the health and vitality of the people in Atlanta, their hometown, and the surrounding areas, which is why they volunteer and raise money for local charitable organizations, namely Special Olympics Georgia. In addition to volunteering at Special Olympics Georgia’s Summer and Winter Games, they hold an annual golf tournament to raise money for Special Olympics Georgia and the athletes. Their first tournament was in 2004. Since then, they have raised more than half a million dollars.
We are grateful to have the support of Winter Construction for over a decade, and they truly make a difference in the lives of our Georgia athletes.
For the 12th year in a row, the ALTA Foundation, a subset of ALTA (Atlanta Lawn and Tennis Association), sponsored the Special Olympics Georgia State Summer Games, May 24th to May 26th at Emory University. As the premier tennis organization in Atlanta, they are deeply committed to supporting initiatives that promote inclusivity, empowerment, and healthy living within our community.
For ALTA, the partnership with Special Olympics Georgia extends beyond sponsorship. It’s about creating meaningful opportunities for athletes to thrive, grow, and showcase their talents. The Summer Games serve as a platform for athletes to focus on their abilities, build confidence, and cultivate important life skills such as teamwork and discipline. Through months of training and dedication, athletes emerge not only as competitors but as ambassadors of resilience and determination.
As proud sponsors of the 2026 Games, ALTA remains committed to supporting our athletes and fostering a culture of inclusivity and acceptance within the tennis community. We believe that every athlete deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential, both on and off the court.
We would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the ALTA members who generously donated to the ALTA Foundation this year. Your contributions have made it possible for us to support organizations like Special Olympics Georgia and many others. Together, we are making a difference in the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities and empowering them to achieve their personal best.
