We are excited to announce that we have partnered with Rite Aid and are now an official KidCents charity! Special Olympics Georgia will now be listed as an official KidCents charity on www.kidcents.com. KidCents is a program created by The Rite Aid Foundation that allows Rite Aid customers to round up their purchases to the nearest dollar and donate their change to help support kid-focused charities.

Here’s how you can enroll in the KidCents program and round-up to Special Olympics Georgia:

Step 1: Enroll in wellness+ with Plenti (Skip to Step 2 if you are already a wellness+ with Plenti member)

  • Visit www.KidCents.com and click ‘Sign in’ on the left
  • Click the box on the right to ‘Enroll in wellness+ with Plenti’
  • Complete the registration process for wellness+ with Plenti
  • Click through to finish signing up in Plenti
  • When finished with both processes, you will be directed to RiteAid.com

Step 2: Enroll in the KidCents Round-Up Program

  • Visit www.KidsCents.com
  • You should see your account logged in on the left. If not, sign in with the account information.
  • Click the ‘Start rounding up today!’ dial on the left

Step 3: Designate your Charity

  • Click ‘Select a Charity’ on the left
  • Type Special Olympics Georgia and click ‘Select This Charity’

By rounding up, you are helping us to reach our goals by simply shopping at Rite Aid. Feel free to invite your friends and family to participate in the program. Imagine the change that your change can make!

Special Olympics Georgia Championship Night

Join Special Olympics Georgia and Senoia Raceway for Special Olympics Georgia Championship Night!

Enjoy watching the Ultimate Late Model Series and support the over 27,000 individuals with intellectual disabilities that compete with Special Olympics Georgia each year. Buy a ticket to attend, and you will be entered for a chance to win prizes throughout the evening!

5 percent of the grandstand sales will come back to Special Olympics Georgia. Gates open at 5 pm and the race begins at 7 pm.

Spread the Word to End the Word

On March 7, the R-Word Campaign will be officially underway!
Join us in taking the pledge to spread the word to end the word all year long.

The “Spread the Word to End the Word” campaign is an ongoing effort by Special Olympics, Best Buddies International and Special Olympics supporters to raise the consciousness of society and the dehumanizing and hurtful effects of the word “retard(ed)” and encourage people to pledge respect to everyone. The campaign, created by youth, is intended to engage schools, organizations and communities to rally and pledge their support at www.r-word.org in order to promote respect, the inclusion and acceptance of people with intellectual disabilities.

Share the Fun and make a Difference with Talbots

Finish Line Helps Spread Unstoppable Joy

 

The Finish Line Youth Foundation wants to help make all Special Olympics athletes feel #SOunstoppable this holiday season, but they can’t do it without you!

For the eighth year in a row, Finish Line will hold its annual holiday fundraising campaign benefitting Special Olympics. From November 16th – December 30th, customers at Finish Line stores across the United States will be asked to make donations at checkout to benefit Special Olympics athletes. In addition, customers also will be able to make online donations and round up their online purchases.

State Indoor Winter Games, January 11 – 13, 2019, Cobb County

Special Olympics Georgia will host the 2019 State Indoor Winter Games on January 11 – 13.

Come join the 2800 athletes, coaches, and unified partners in Cobb County as they compete in basketball, bowling, floor hockey, artistic gymnastics, and powerlifting!

The Opening Ceremony will be held on Friday, January 11th at the Cobb Civic Center at 7:30pm and is open to the public.

3rd Annual St. Peter Chanel 5K

Run for a reason!

Join St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church as they host the 3rd Annual St. Peter Chanel 5K on November 19, 2016.

Benefiting Special Olympics Georgia, the event will include a free kids run and is open to runners and walkers of all levels.
