Southeast Competitions
Athletes from Alabama, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Mississippi compete on a regional level in Powerlifting, Ice Skating, Alpine Skiing, Sailing, and Tennis.

National Competitions
Georgia athletes will compete in 2014 at the National Games in Princeton, New Jersey.

2013 World Winter Games
The next Special Olympics World Games take place January 29 to February 5, 2013, half a world away from Athens — in PyeongChang, South Korea. The 2013 Games will feature world-class competition in alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, figure skating, snowboarding and speedskating, among other sports. The PyeongChang Games will also include global discussions and action on the impact Special Olympics can have on the lives of people with intellectual disabilities. Visit the official site of the 2013 Games

2011 World Summer Games
7500 athletes from 185 countries will compete in Athens, Greece in 2011. The sports these athletes will compete in are: Aquatics, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Bocce, Bowling, Cycling, Equestrian, Golf, Gymnastics, Judo, Kayaking, Powerlifting, Roller Skating, Sailing, Soccer, Softball, Table Tennis, Team Handball, Tennis, Volleyball.
